Dorn is no stranger to success with his music!

He has penned several international 'hit' records and won numerous awards including BMI's prestigious "Outstanding Contribution to Canadian Music" as lead singer for Painter and Hammersmith his Rock & Roll bands.

Headlining major concert events with his own international hits during his  career, Dorn has toured with some of the worlds best known artists including Steely Dan, Jethro Tull, Rod Stewart, Kiss and BTO to name a few, and whilst with David Geffen's Elektra/Asylum Records, shared a multi-release with Linda Ronstadt, Queen, The Doors, Jackson Browne, David Gates and more. The Second Chance CD is a compilation of music inspired by his birthplace, Calgary, Alberta, home of the world famous Calgary Stampede. Dorn was raised on country music from an early age while learning to play his Dads Harmony guitar and fondly remembers his first record, a '45 rpm' of Johnny Cash singin' Don't Take Your Gun's to Town.

The Second Chance CD is ten songs; many written by Dorn, that reflect the heart and soul of a genuine artist who has mellowed (slightly) from his crazy R&R lifestyle.
